mlgraham
Our firm is new to Mental Ray, and we're in the process of rendering some old scenes in Mental Ray. When we were rendering the scenes with the scanline renderer, we could do 6000x4500 size images. Now we are having trouble getting a 2000x1500 size image to render. Any suggestions? Matt McDonald
A few thoughts... Are you able to get it to render at all...even at tiny sizes? As image resolution goes up you can dial down your anti-aliasing and final gather settings. Make sure you are using BSP2 for your raytracing acceleration as it flushes memory much better. You probably also want to turn off the frame buffer to save memory. Try those things out and if they don't work, you'll probably have to post a little more information.
