ryansbucks
We are running into an issue with moving axyz people after a .bip animation sequence is loaded into the biped. The character basically seems to be locked in place. Has anyone ran into this issue? Thanks in advance with any help.
JasonJohnson
I actually know this answer but cant remember exactly. I do believe though you are maybe locked in biped? I cant think of the correct wording. But check to make sure you bip isnt locked.... um in the hierarchy I think. In either case if every thing is moving but your bip it's because you have it locked down. I know thats not much help but its late and Im sleepy
BVI
The Biped (loaded bip etc) probably doesn't support movement beyond its X, Y. You can see the coloured footstep place holders if it has movement inside its BIP.
BVI
So the answer would be to move it along yourself which is another story all together You need to create a helper and then constrain the center of the biped to the dummy object and then animate the dummy object. The biped coordinates are keyframed to the world so use the dummy object or spline etc to move the object without compromising the biped movement. Randy liddil
I am having the same problem when I load an animated .bip file for some reason I can't reposition the character into another spot. The animated .bip file moves the character across the scene about 20ft and it's locked. The animated bip works great as far as the character moving, etc. but it's locked. I tried linking the bip to a dummy helper and still couldn't get the biped to move. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
JasonJohnson
I never had to do any of this stuff. I do remember like I mentioned at the beginning that my bip was locked. Did they change there animations some how? It's been like 2 years since I used there stuff? I just used what they game me and edited as needed no problems....?
