LWO objects into MAX/Viz

Hi-

 

I'm looking to import lwo files into max, and everything that I can find online (or by searching through here) either doesn't exist anymore, or crashes MAX upon import. Does anyone have an importer that works with MAX 6?

Sorry if I'm being too simplistic here Chad but why don't you export as 3ds from LW?

However you do it, the results always need a bit of work

I don't have LW. I have LWO files that I downloaded from the internet.

 

Rick- I tried the plugins from maxplugins.de Those are the ones that crashed max.

There's a shareware app called 3d Object Converter. I don't know how good it is (Got it at home but never used it) but it apparently handles hundreds of filetypes.

 

Failing that, upload them and I'll try to convert them for you.

Weird...Only the LWO2 plugin crashes Max, the other one works fine (sloooooooooow, but works). I did a test with a car and it came perfect, only mapping/material coordinates missing.
