Strip rendering & VRAY's Lightcache

Hi,

 

Has anyone noticed that sending an image to render over a network using strips, if you are using the light cache the strips will return slightly different.

 

Does anyone have a way around this that doesn't include precalculating the Light cache on a single machine?

Not that I'm aware of. GI is calculated just ever so slightly on different machines.

 

You can stretch the pre-calced GI maps 2x in size. For example. If your final render is 2000x2000, you can render your GI maps and 1000x1000 and size them up. This method works well in a pinch, though you do lose some finer detailing. But nothing that can be fixed in post.
