3dvizual
Hi. I a trying to reduce the amount of GI on my water in my scene. I have placed a bitmap with a "starmap" in the GI enviorment (skylight). My water looks to much like a starmap too. Is this possible and how.? 3dvizual
I am sorry but my "background" tab was turned on with the same bitmap as under the vray env. So it is not the "GI enviorment (skylight)" which causes the problem, but my background enviorment map which causes the stars on my water. But does anybody have a solution for this.? Ricardo Eloy
It's kind of hard to tell without seeing the image, but my guess is that you're not using a HDR or EXR file as the environment. JPGs and such are not meant for lighting, so you should turn the Skylight Override on and use a proper file there, having Max's environment just for the BG.
