servarus
I'm learning how to use V-ray, and currently using version 2.0. I'm not sure why though, maps/texture does not appear in the final render. I tried using the given sample scene from http://www.vray-materials.de/ and then used the material that I am having a problem with, which is almost all, the material appears. I tried to compare the settings, but sadly I am not that expert to know which is giving me this problem. Attached is the scene files and settings. Is it the materials setting or V-ray setting? EDIT: Seems like, when I use planes as the base model and applied the material, it appears. It is because of the modelling method? AubreyM
I'm not clear on what your problem is. Is there one material that is not showing up when you render? If so which material? Does it show up in the perspective viewport?

AubreyM
You need to read up on the Vray Camera, having your light multipliers at 150 isn't a good idea. See this link for information on what all the different camera settings do. If it's to much try a standard camera. http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/examples_vrayphysicalcamera.htm
servarus
Does the camera going to effect the material maps?
AubreyM
What material specifically are you having a problem with?
servarus
Currently the carpet and the wood. I used planes, and the materials shows. I wonder if the modelling method has effects on maps? Thanks for the example on lighting.
AubreyM
Yes, having all of those separate planes for the floor is a bad idea. You also need to apply a UVW Map to the objects.
servarus
I was trying to emulate a tatami mat effect. Showing differences in panels and so on. I used AutoCAD to do the modelling, maybe the problem starts from there I guess. UVW map fixed the problem. So in a simple way, the error is the object has no "surface" for the map to be shown is it?
