i think you should put some reflections on glass, about the environment, try to make it more real, the parking looks too clean, try to change something in the palms (wiht photoshop) they look all identical, and put more details on the pic

the building looks so good, and you can make a great view if you put some efforce in details...

GOOD JOB!

The problem is I only have one plam tree so they are all going to look quite similar!

I read a lot on here about applying HRDI images as an environment map but I don't have any idea what they are or bring to an image. Anybody help?

I'll try and change some of the palm trees, its difficult to put more detail in as it is a competition entry so the design work for the landscape is minimal!

you might think about cropping that image a little bit. There is a lot of dead space above and below the airport. You could tighten the shot and frame the airport a lot more, helping out with you horizon lines that show off your pretty empty environment. then you could put a couple palm trees on either side of the airport, using the leaves to block out the horizon line, and if you place them at the corners of the airport properly you might not notice its the same palm tree. anyway, thats my input, keep us updated, its looking really good so far.

nice rendering but you need to work on your reflection for your glasses. ;)

i think for the first image, the plane in the middle is blocking your main structure and for the second image, try to use dates palm trees (it's what the kind of palm trees they got in here. :D

keep it up.

Hi,

Thanks for all your ideas and suggestions!

Regarding the first image, this image is pretty much fixed, because there is nothing around the terminal it is difficult to hide the horizon line, the terminal is literally in the middle of a desert so for the client doesn't want to see it with palm trees around it.

The second image, I should probably explain there are five images that make up the presentation I have only been using max for a little while so I wasn't confident about getting the work down in time so I used Microstation. The images came out alright but because I couldnt use a real world lighting solution they were all a little cold and cartoonish. Now I am re-doing them in Max and three of the images are the typical looking at the corner A3 images so I wanted to produce a different view point thats why I choose this one. I am re-doing the images for my companies marketing so the images need to be either A3 proportions or square.

I agree that the image needs to be cropped, so I'll have a look at that, but the palm trees have been a big problem, does anybody know where I can down-load some high-res images of palm-trees or to be honest any trees. Maybe even models of trees with textures, I'm sure my compant might buy some if they are reasoably priced. The palms were put in in photo-shop so thats why they don't reflect in the glass, I'll have a look at that as well!

I work for YRM architects in London, we do a lot of airprot work for Heathrow, Gatwick and airports around the world. Its funny you say how much you would like to work on this job, I guess I have down so many airport termianls now and I find them very difficult because the buidings are always so long and low, I would love to work on a building that's tall!

Lookin nice but a few suggestions.

1. Shadow casting by the palm trees.

2. The edge of the yellow path closest to the glass is disturbing, I think its because to edge closest the glass is brighter than the bit in the forground, making it look like its an upstanding wall.

3. There is also something wrong with the the glass pavement interface, which would probably be fixed by putting correct reflections in the glass.

GOod luck
