Jon Berntsen
Some objects (both .max and .3ds format) doesn't show in the viewport when imported. It's consistent. They can be rendered sometimes, but not always. Not consistent. Seems like the geometry is there somewhere, at least I seem to move and scale the object. But nothing really happens, and if it does, I can't see it. Any ideas? Why aren't my objects working properly? Thanks for any reply!
datacrasher
why are you importing them if they are in a .max or .3ds format? why are you not just merging them into your scene? i am not sure why they sometimes render and other times do not. do you have enough ram inside your computer? have you setup your VGA card correctly? but i doubt this will affect your render or viewing your models
danb4026
Many times geometry will be imported into a hidden layer, often the "0 (Default)" layer. Make sure all of your layers are on and see if you see the imported objects.
sanmb
Even when objects are merged and when unit settings are different it happens.
