Ozymandias
you need better materials to begin with. try http://perso.club-internet.fr/lemog/lemog_textures/acc_textures01.html for some better textures to place in your scene. Secondly, when you get those textures, depending on what renderer you are using, experiment with bump maps and/or displacement maps, specular maps, reflecction maps, etc... those are key to acheiving realism. Plus, your sky texture looks a little low quality as you can see the gradations of color in it as it stretches across the scene, better materials once again. Thats all i can think of right now, the camera angle is good, the diagonal street really helps the eye move through the shot. Keep it up.
Juan Altieri
one point, you can give more self ilumination to the rpc's, looks too dark. try to put some textures and try to make the sun give to the scene more contrast, about lightness, you can find good tutorials at http://www.thesmoke3dstudio.com

ipdesigner
1. try to use some plug-ins in 3DS max, e.g. light tracer, v-ray, mental ray..if you are using the new version, this will improve your rendering.. 2. you ad some trees in foregound and background, try to make it clear, you can see the white spots.. 3. texture and lighting should be improve also, try to see some images on the gallery, you can take some points and ideas there.. but..after all, nice try.. thieverycorp
surprisingly.. i find the 1st image better than the revised. the sunlight should cast more contrasting shadows, right now it looks flat to me.
