Or you could just keyframe the object to rotate 360 degrees. No need to mess with cameras. It's probably faster to render the full 360 for both the solid and wireframe, then in After Effects or other program, key the opacity of the wireframe layer. If you render the wireframes as white, you can use screen mode to make them pop out or if you use black wireframes use multiply mode.

You can use a wire material, or you can use Mental Ray's contour shaders. Vray toon if you have Vray.

I skipped through the video, but I think he covers all 3 ways. Standard, Mental Ray, and Vray. So you can choose what works best for you.
