What to put in Esherick house?

Hello,

i have been working on my personal project of recreating Louis Kahn's Esherick house in 3D. I have already done a lot, and soon i will get to the point, where filling the interior will be only thing remaining. I am not an architect nor a designer, so i do not have much of an idea about what furniture to use. I would like something with a little more modern feel, but what would not ruin the intended spirit of the house. So i would not like to ruin it with some ikea c**p :D

Here are renders + some reference photos of the space (sorry for the noise, these are just previews rendered in iray, not final quality):

And here are some photo references with original furniture:

So i would like to ask you for some tips on what furniture to put there. I have 3 rooms to fill: Main living room hall, bedroom, and dining room. Dining room is separated from kitchen, so there will not be any kitchen appliances.

I do not have many requirements. It only should not be cold. Like metal surfaces. It should be warm and comfortable, wooden materials are preferred, but i will be grateful for any suggestions at all.

Thank you very much in advance.

Here are a few reference photo's you may like. I assume you want to model the furniture...or were you looking for a recommendation for a model pack?

Love what I see so far, nice wood textures. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Thank you very much for your response. Yes, i am looking for anything i could model, what would fit inside. I like the choice of sofa, but for dinning furniture and bed, it looks a bit historic. My intention is to put something modern design-wise, and stylish. But i do not want to put there something that would ruin the spirit of house. Something with a little more modern design, but what does fit nicely together with the house. For example:

I will be really thankful for more suggestions. Thanks once again :)

Hi Rawalanche!

I think choosing some danish design is not a bad idea. But perhaps you should consider some modern japanese furniture, mixed with a bit of arne jacobsen. your interior shots ot the house do remind me of modern japanese interior design.

I'll throw some reference as soon as possible.

P.S. I have a lot of books on danish furniture design, so say the word if I can be of any assistance.

Do a Google or Bing search for "Modern wood furniture" and there are a ton of good designs and reference images that come up. I am sure that one of them will inspire you.

I already did that. I found a lot of inspiring stuff. The reason i am asking here is because in past, i have been often criticized for bad choice of furniture in my works ;-) So i am turning on professionals here :)
