I tried rendering this out in Max 2012, but it kept crashing on me - even though it was fairly straightforward. Then I put it into Max 2011 and it rendered out fine. Look forward to your comments and feedback.
nelpiper
Hi Stan. Your image can be improved. The car in the foreground is 2D? If so, it doesn´t work well because the lighting on it is off. I really don´t get the big white area on the right, what is it? The lighting is flat and the GI does not work well because the shadow areas are different from each other. You have to work on the textures a bit more cause the roof of the house look only as they have a solid color on them. The concept is nice but needs detailing a bit more. Good luck. Stan Zaslavsky
Hi Nelson, Thanks for your feedback - everything in the image except for some people is 3D - so that car is rendered out with the same lighting as the rest of the scene. What about it doesnt work? The big white area on the right was at the client's request - he didn't want neighbouring properties there or grass you're spot on regarding the roofs - i'll work a bit more on getting some definition there cheers,
nelpiper
Hi Stan. The car is lacking of contact shadows. Because of that, it looks as if it didn´t belong to the scene. IMHO, you should try to improve your GI. Good luck.
