Hello guys

while i am modifying some objet by detaching some face or attaching some other thing to it ..and putting different material to it i get a multiple materian and then when i click on get all scene material .

i have all kind of curve in the material slate editor ...witch make me all lost with my materials and wanting to go back with the compact editor ...

is there a way it can be more easy with the material slate editor ?

second litte problem when i am using the compact material and i am taking some material (that i have already made and save into and library )and switch them into the material editor , the name doesnt follow and i have always to rename it to be sure i dont lost nothing

thank u so much for this .. its been a while i am going trough this and your time is very appreciated

This took me a little while to get used to as well. I'm not completely comfortable with the new materials editor yet but if you name all your materials and keep everything clean and organized it's gonna help a ton. The multi-materials are just a collection of materials that are assigned to one object. In principle, one object has one mutli-material with all the sub-materials attached to it. The problem comes when you have a sub-material being used in different objects and those red lines start connection all over the place. There is a button at the top that will automatically organize the entire materials web. I click on that a lot.
