A.Mitov
I need help on matching the displacements of 2 different objects. Basically the scene is a yacht in the ocean which makes a wake. The ocean is a plane with VrayDisplacement modifier and the wake is also a plane with the same VrayDisplacement modifier applied as instance. The UVW modifiers for the displace textures of both the ocean and the wake objects are in the same coordinates - 0,0,0. But for some reason the wake pass it is visibly off when composed in PS. I don't know why is that given that the UVW coords. are the same. The displacement texture itself is "Composite" material with 2 layers - the first is procedural "Noise" map and the second one is a texture of waves pattern. Any ideas? Here are some screenshots from the viewport as well as the final result:
Tommy L
Maybe the seed of the noise is different?
A.Mitov
Maybe the seed of the noise is different? I don't think that's the issue. After all, the displacement modifiers on the 2 objects are instances. So should the displacement texture in the "Texmap" slot for both objects.
