giodoc
I've had the same issue in max and maya within vray. When I place a HDRI sky, in a dome light, or in the environment tab within VRay globals.. The HDRI looks really out of scale in relation to the scene. To clarify, say I put in a sky with clouds, the clouds appear huge in relation to the foreground geometry. Is there a way to scale down the HDRI, so things appear in proportion. I've worked with mebtal Ray in the past, and when using an IBL, you can scale down the node, within the scene so things look in proportion and reflections etc look correct. Any advice is much appreciated.
Speaker
Are you using the HDRI map as a spherical environment?
giodoc
Hi, Within the dome light - Just the default option, not full dome, it is a spherical map btw. In the environment, its set to spherical map. The issue is how do you scale it down?.. It looks humongous in relation to the geometry, I've tried csling up the geometry.. Makes no difference..
