bobozd Posted October 18, 2011 Share Posted October 18, 2011 hi, i have strange problem when rendering same scene. on resolution 1000x1000 px all rendering fine for 25min (lot of grass and plants) and on resolution 2600x1950 same scene render 16 hours ??? is this ram because of bigger image or what? i cant figure out ??? intel i970 6core 12 threads 8GB ram Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AubreyM Posted October 18, 2011 Share Posted October 18, 2011 Make sure there are no standard materials in the scene, if there are you can use the vray scene converter. If you are using displacement try unchecking view dependent. Check the dynamic memory limit, if it is at the default 400mb crank it up, could be it's paging to the HD to much. And last see if any of the materials you are using have a crazy subdivision setting, like 64 or something really high like that. Good luck. Fernando Lino Posted October 18, 2011 Share Posted October 18, 2011 what are you using for grass, if you have autograss you have to rise the RAM as well under autograss.... proxies take more time when you use LC, you could reduce the rendertime using standard geometry instead proxies.
