AutoCAD > Sketchup arc/circle segments

Hey everyone,

 

So you know when you import a line drawing from AutoCAD to Sketchup, any arcs or circles you have are segmented (because that's how Sketchup deals with curves)... Is there any way to adjust the default number of segments that Sketchup assigns to any imported curve?

This is one of the biggest problems with sketchup. The only way around this I know of is to break up the circles and arcs in Autocad into smaller segments. This increases the number of segments in sketchup for the original circle or arc. It can take time to do this. I expect there is a lsp that could do it for you, but I haven't found it.

I don't know if you could change the default settings but you always can select the arc or circle and under entity info you can change the number of segments.

i agree with fernando , in the entity window, you can change by default 24 segments , to the segments you want.
