doujay888
I 've attached a rendered image using photometric lights as a test render, since its' my first time to make use of photometric lights. Im more familiar with max standard lightings. Well, I need some few comments and suggestions with my test render. Questions: 1. Is it necessary to make use of radiosity when using photometric lights? 2.Can I also make use of radiosity with max standard lights. Or both things works. Thanks in Advance guys. thieverycorp
quite the opposite when using radiosity it is best to make use of photometric lights as they make use of real-life light units. i myself would use photometric lights for my downlights n washlights but for ambient lighting i would stick to standard lights. i feel that mixing the both would get better results anyway for your 1st shot at photometric lights i think u did a wonderful job!! nice image

trhoads
Your image has a very nice, soft feel. Only thing that sticks out to me, is your chairs are not casting any shadows. They are floating, I would think with all the lights in that room, there would have to be at least slight shadows cast from a number of different directions, on each chair. JMO.
