Peter M. Gruhn
Just now I took a bend modifier, pasted it instance to a number of things and they all bent as a large group... Suspect this is because the one modifier has the same gizmo location. OK, that makes sense. But what if I want them all to bend like each other, a field of posts each touching its own toes. All the posts are different so "instance the post" is not the correct answer. Am I spazzing on the "duh" answer? Is this something that has to be done with individual bend modifiers wired together on the amount?
Victor Erthal
if you select all the objects at once, and assuming they all have a pivot relative to their center, you can apply a bend modifier. but the trick is: when you sick on the modifier list, it drops down and you can see at the very top the text: "use pivot points". click on it. then click again on the drop down modifier list and select bend. done! Hope this helps.
Peter M. Gruhn
Sounds good. I'm checking it out now. Even if it totally fails, thanks for trying ;-) Fabulous. Thanks for the clear answer. How long has that been there?
