Allypander
Hello, I need to increase the radius of an existing chamfer on an editable poly (which I chamfered and subsequently converted back into an EP). All of its edges are rounded, but not enough. Could anyone advise as to how to do this? Cheers
Stephen Thomas
Probably not what you want to hear, but if you had turned on the 'animate' button in Edit Poly modifier, you could go back and change the value. Doesn't really help you in this case, I know, but might in future if you know a value might be subject to change. Make sure to just use one command per modifier though, and stack them. datacrasher
once you convert down to a poly go to the edges and select them use the ring or loop button this will ring the all your edges or loop them depending on which way you have the edges now choose the chamfer sqaure now you can increase the chamfer to what you want

datacrasher
that will increase the radius and not add edges i have been using that for 5 years and it works for me once you ring or loop the edges you can change the amount of the radius you want it. update and your talking about the connect and not the chamfer Create a box with 1 seg convert down to a poly with edge faces on now select the seg use the chamfer square this will increase your radus. if you select the edges and run a connect through your box this will add more connects Edited October 28, 2011 by datacrasher
Stephen Thomas
I know how to add a chamfer to a box, thanks. But the OP is asking about an object that is already chamfered and has been collapsed and wants to increase the radius of the chamfer afterwards. Stephen Thomas
I'm not trying to start an argument Tony, I was just saying I don't think your suggestion solves the problem. Neither does my suggestion, for that matter. I don't think there is an answer to this one
