Jonathan
Is there a best process for 'generating' 2D Autocad elevations and sections from 3DS Max models? I've been working on a digital reconstruction project which begun in 3D, the client now requests a 2D drawing package for prototype manufacture. Is it simply a case of 'tracing' orthagonal renders and attaching all objects and slicing the model?
plastic
Look at the section tool in 3ds max.
jsf
Also look at bringing the model into Autocad and using FLATSHOT and SECTIONPLANE. The help menu has info on both.
Jonathan
Thanks for the replys. I had hoped there would be an alternative method to FLATSHOT and SECTIONPLANE. I have had poor results from them in the past.
