ihabkal
Nice work, I am working on a mall almost the same size, client wants a 3 minute animation in 9 days. I told him it is too short of a time. How much time did it take you to do this and how many worked on it? My I also ask about the budget? I hope it i snot taboo....I just want to check my pricing if it is right or wrong. It is very similar size wise to what i am doing... Thank you... DigitalKey
Hi, Ihabkal. Thanks a lot for your comments. 3 minutes in 9 days? wow! It’s really a short of time. So, we’re a team of 10 professionals and all the other jobs has been distributed to everyone. You can see that this project had been finalized parallel with other jobs. This video was produced during 30 days. 10 days to be modeled. 10 days to be lighted and texturized 10 days to be rendered and post producing. About the budget it's relative. Not in the company words, but in my opinion, a good budget (in a freelancer job case) is a mix of: Step 1 - Budget add as rent+water bill+electricity bill+internet and so on. Step 2 - Monthly earning and/or third part: monthly payment paid to set employees Step 3 - Fee percentage: Market variation and budget (it would be a monthly saving for the company) After all this added expenses, we could get into the step 4 - It means a total that and we can share it into working days and dayly hours (for example, here in Brazil we usually work 22 days a month by 8 hours a day) That is "work hour price" I believe that independent of others companies, you have your own real price. Do not base your amount in to other comparisons. Remenber, you get what you deserve. I hope all this information could help you and clear your mind. Take care, David Carvalho - Creation Coordinator.
