Devin Johnston
I've got several render nodes that I use to do distributed rendering, in the last few days I've been noticing a process running in the task manager called WSCommCntr3.exe. It's sucking up about 8% of my CPU all the time and it seems to randomly start up on different nodes at different times. All my nodes are clones from one machine and up until a few days ago I never noticed this process running. I found that if I delete a certain XML file out of the 3d studio Max Design 2012 directory it will go a way for a while, but it comes back. Anyone know what this program is doing and how to stop it? datacrasher
I would run an msconfig from your start-run in the run-box Type MSconfig click on the startup tab only and deselect all programs apart from your virus checker and Spyware checker. then click apply and then ok you'll need to restart your computer and windows will reboot itself. this will give you some of your memory back, The only reason the XML is keeps returning either max needs it or you have installed a plugin or installed something to make it conflict with max?
