3dvizual
Hi. How do I automaticly add double the amount of vertices to a plane. Is there a modifier for doing so or is it manually, one at a time.?
datacrasher
Don't convert down just add an edit poly or edit mesh then you can go back to your plane and add more segs to your plane once you have the right amount then you can collapse the stack down to whatever you need Tony

plastic
Try the tesselate modifier...
datacrasher
No the The Tessellate modifier subdivides faces in the current selection. It's particularly useful for smoothing curved surfaces for rendering, and creating additional mesh resolution Go to your edges, turn on edge faces select one side of your plane and then the other depends which way you want the segs to go and use the connect box and then click How many segs you need once complete then click ok
