Jonathan
Having just been quoted £650 from an accountant to draw up a simple terms and conditions contract for freelance work I wondered if any cgarchitects here know of any resources that would be useful in drawing up my own? I live in Edinburgh, UK. Thanks in advance! Jonathan Edited November 15, 2011 by Jonathan
Jonathan Sanchez
The American Society of Architectural Illustrators gives out some reference and samples for making your own Agreenment. You might be able to use some of it, even though their terms refer to American law.
Craig Ramsay
Having just been quoted £650 from an accountant to draw up a simple terms and conditions contract Are you sure an accountant is the best person to do this for you? I'd have thought a solicitor would be a better bet. Believe it or not, £650 to have a good contract drawn up for you is pretty cheap! It's one of these things that you really don't want to scrimp on. Jonathan
Thanks for the link Jonathan, very useful, I shall go through it in more detail tomorrow. Craig, your probably right but after shelling out a small fortune on software and hardware recently the home made T&C's will for now have to suffice! And, yeah, it was a solicitor through an accountant.
Justin Hunt
It might be a short term saving, but a good contract is worth as much if not more than your software. It is worth getting it checked out by the accountant and or solicitor. jhv
