Graphite
Hey everyone; Have to be what seems a simple question, but its alluded me for quite some time. I used to work for a firm that had a shortcut key programmed into max that moved the transform/move/scale gizmo along the the Top, Middle, and bottom of a selected object, wether this object was an entire model, or down to an edge face. Would anyone know how to set this up OR, knows what the Plugin or script that might have been used? Thanks -n
Cyberstyle
In the Hierachy utility panel (next to your modify tab), you can shift the pivot point anywhere you like. Just click on "Affect Pivot Only" and move it, or even create temporary working pivot points etc... There probably is a script out there that has more features, but the above works just fine. Graphite
Yea; I'm just looking for a way to use a short cut key to quickly move between top, bottom, and center pivot locations
datacrasher
You can create your own sortcuts in max go to customize, customize IU (user interface) and create shortcut (hotkey) Use the Group and Category lists to find the action for which you want to create a shortcut. Click an action in the Action list to highlight it. In the Hotkey field, enter the keyboard shortcut you want to assign to the selected action. Note: If the keyboard shortcut you enter is already assigned to an action, that action's name will appear in the Assigned To field. Click Assign.
