zewanil
Hello people i am trying to achieve a material with no success.... I would like to add to type of bum for the same object .... The thing is that i would to uvw mapping each of the two different material so i can really have the look that i want .. the first image that i post is the material that i would like to achieve ... There is the wood and the grain ... and there is also another bump with is like it hasn be sanded if you know what i mean . So i post the wood material and is bump material and also the not sanded bump ... ( i know its not drawend correctly but i will fixed well i will find out how to do it ) So how do i do this ? Do i have to play with the channel ? thanks so much for your time P.
Bruce Hart
Yes you will need a composite map or mix map in the bump slot with different mapping channels for each bitmap used . Then apply two UVW map modifiers to the same object with map channels on each that correspond to your bitmaps. beestee
In this case I think you would need a specular/reflection map to represent the sawcut pattern you are trying to achieve moreso than additional bump. I am sure there is a little bump in it as well, but it seems more scuff than bump to my eyes. Perhaps even multiplying the diffuse with the sawcut pattern a little might be necessary. You will still need to utilize mapping channels and multiple UVW maps to do this. Combine all of it and I am sure you can achieve a convincing replication of that material.
