henryjun
Hi there, I'm still having a problem with the lighting, what should I do to fix the problem for the light to not to expose around the ceiling?
Cyberstyle
depends on how you've modelled and positioned your elements, the type of light you are using, the lights location from or within the modelled elements and what the distribution type settings are for the light. You could always go into the lights settings and under the shadows menu you'll see an 'exclude' button. Click on that and select your ceiling to be exluded from the lights illumination. That will stop direct illumination from the light and it will still recieve indirect bounced light from the scene.
datacrasher
Use the active shade click and hold the render button and then you will get a flyout choose the one with the red teapot max uses this one because when you render with this then max will update your scene and you increase or decrease the lighting in your scene
