vrindakedia
Hello everyone! I've recently started making walk-through's using 3Ds Max. I did an interior scene walktrough. I'm having some light flicker problem in the walkthough. Everywhere i've placed lights it flickers on the ceiling and the wall. It looks really bad. I've used GI and Final gathering. Daylight system and Mr Portal light at every window. Please help me.

Justin Hunt
Is it the light fixing that is flickering or the emitted light? If its the light fixing then use higher image sampling (and possible a higher resolution image) If its the emitted light then how are you caculating the lighting solution. Can you post you settings and images jhv
vrindakedia
Its the emitted light that's flickering on the objexts and wall, ceiling etc. This is the setting that i have used with daylight system and mr portal lights with shadow samples 32 on each. attached is the settings i have used. Justin Hunt
Are you calculating and saving the Photon and FG maps for every nth frame or every frame? jhv
vrindakedia
no didnt generate photon map. Will try it now! Thanks!
Justin Hunt
You only need to calculate the Photon map for the first frame. The FG maps calculated every nth frames (depending on how long and how much the camera moves) jhv
