AubreyM
A few quick things, The chairs look rock hard. Make the cushions and backs softer and more rounded. The leather texture is over scaled. The wood grain on the table is going the wrong way in a couple of spots. The tile is a nice enough texture but doesn't really look good in a living room setting, but that is my own preference. Brodie Geers
Some more ideas... Camera angle is too squeezed in. 35mm lens? knock that back to like 24mm or so or else give us a visual queue of what we're supposed to be focusing on. If it's not a product shot of the furniture, let's see some more of the room. For example, we see that white line just left of center but where does it go? Is it a tall lamp? Can't tell. The wall tile could use more bump, maybe even displacement. The black object on the table gets lost in the blackness of the table. Perhaps a brighter color. And the metal cylinder. Is it just a metal cylinder? Kind of an odd decoration. It looks less like something a person might actually have and more like something a person might easily model. There are lots of places to download knick knacks to put on tables (eg. http://archive3d.net ) -Brodie

Brodie Geers
I've only scratched the surface with Vray so I'm in no position to give advice but here's a link I ran across awhile back that might be helpful. http://www.aleso3d.com/blog/?p=574 -Brodie
