frog_a_lot
Ok sso i haven't done loads of animations in vray, mainly stills. But when we do animation we precalc the Irrandiance Map and light cache. We have always precalced light cache for the full frames. If the Light cache is set to say 2000 and 'world' and 'fly through' does this mean i should only be rendering one single frame and that will calc for the whole animation? And then calc Irr Map every 5th or 10th for whole frame range. Im talking simple walk/fly though with no moving objects just moving camera. Cheers
Francisco Penaloza
yes you are correct, now do not forget to select "camera path" in LC.
subburb
yes, 1 LC render in flythrough mode, wich should be blurry as it contains all frames in one go. Then an irrmap every 5-10 frames, depends of the speed of your camera. About "use camera path" : i'va made several tests, and finally always check it OFF !! This feature is usefull ONLY for a little anim and if your camera moves a little bit. In all other cases (real flythrough), you may UNCHECK it !
