erickdt
Hi All, Ive been using MAX 2012 for a few months now and I notice that all self illuminated materials, whether they be VRay light materials or MR materials with self illumination on, get totally blown out in the viewport. This makes it especially difficult to place/uvw these materials. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how to fix this issue. Thanks in advance! Camby1298
Pretty easy actually, if you go turn on "Show Standard Map in Viewport" from your Diffise Level Mapping, it will display the bitmap in that sub-channel, instead of the end result. danb4026
In Max 2012 you have to set it to "realistic materials with maps"
erickdt
Hi Guys, Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately neither of them work. I wound up reverting from the Nitrous display mode to direct 3D and that solved the problem. I suspect there's some sort of issue with my graphics card (despite the fact that it's supposedly a supported NVidia card). E
