ABK
Hi all, I am having a problem when making animations. I find that I get a 'judder' if I pivot or pan with my cameras. Has anyone found this or know of a way around it? Antony
JonRashid
Have you checked your key curves in track view. If they are ok it may be your playback. Load into ram player and see how it plays there.
BrianKitts
how far is your camera from the origin of the scene (0,0,0) you'll run into issues if your camera is far out in space.
ABK
It's all fairly near the origin. The judder occurs when playing back the renders. It's worst in after effects but is also bad in quicktime player.

Stephen Thomas
Like Justin says, it's to do with bitrate when encoding. It isn't unique to animations, video footage can suffer too and panning shots are particularly prone to this type of issue. Here's some pages that start to explain the problem, maybe you can find something helpful with a bit more digging around. From what I gleaned from these you want to be using constant bitrate rather than variable as this can cause large spikes during high motion (panning for instance) shots. http://www.ezs3.com/public/What_bitrate_should_I_use_when_encoding_my_video_How_do_I_optimize_my_video_for_the_web.cfm http://exposureroom.com/help/view.aspx/89/
