Ernest Burden III
Premiere comes with a music-generating app. It has many styles, and when you give it the length of your piece it will create music that is the right length. Yes, it sounds generic, but it is a good legal way to add music.

Brian Cassil
EB3 is referring to the smartsound plugin that ships with Premeir. I don't remember if you have to intall it separtly or not. It is a nifty plugin in that it scales the music to the length you determine, but the music is very generic. I am sick to death of all the standard ones it ships with. I know you can buy additional styles though. In premeire go to file/new/smartsound and you'll be there.
Allen
My son (17) created my last background music with a program called Image-Line FruityLoops by Cakewalk. Cool stuff. Garageband from Apple sounds similar.
Harjeet Singh
thanks, i tried the smartsound but need something personalized and fresh. so was thinking if there are some real nice sequences online in some library. I like the idea of composing like Allen's son did. that way you atleast have a fresh thing. can you post it Allen? Anyone else has hands-on composing here ?? my regards to all of you friends:)

GaryR50
Acid Express is a good way to get some tracks recorded and it won't cost you anything to try: http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/SonicFoundryAcid/ Of course, this assumes you're a musician, like me. If you're just looking for other people's work to use, then be careful; just like those of us who don't like our 3D work swiped, musicians don't like it, either.
