mm-dga
Well I often don´t have a lot of time to set the right lights in my scene. - so I correct the light in photoshop with levels, curves and blending modes. But when I work with photos it is so much easier to use the "Camera RAW". Setting the white balance and exposure and so on - for a nice result. I testet the "Camera RAW" on just a tiff of the render, and I find it very easy and with very good result. But do anybody know this: Is it possible to save the render in a RAWformat so the info in the renders are preserved. Is it maybe enough to save it as a tiff 16 bit? Stephen Thomas
I use Adobe Camera Raw to process images a lot too, there are a lot of great tools that are much harder to do in Photoshop. I reckon 16-bit TIFF is fine, most camera RAW files are only 12 or 14-bit anyway.
mm-dga
oki - then I just save as tiff 16 bit. Do U know if its possible to go "back" to camera RAW to finetune the render after working on it in photoshop?
mm-dga
I just see that in vray you can "Render to vray raw image file" - do U use that?
Stephen Thomas
All work done in Camera RAW is non-destructive i.e. you can alter them at any time. You would then need to replace the base render in your PSD file with the new version. oki - then I just save as tiff 16 bit. Do U know if its possible to go "back" to camera RAW to finetune the render after working on it in photoshop?
Stephen Thomas
I just see that in vray you can "Render to vray raw image file" - do U use that? No, that's something different. You won't be able to work in Adobe Camera RAW with that file, it's a way of getting around memory problems in Vray and needs converting to an EXR file afterwards.
