frog_a_lot
Howdy all, Lately it seems we are doing more and more animations, mostly with people or crowds. I was just wondering what are peoples solutions for crowds of people. We have tried animating everyone individually but this takes time and is never 100% perfect. We have tried using particle systems, but to build a full PFlow setup with people collisions and walkers etc will take a great amount of time and still needs to be edited for each project. Dont have the time or money to learn and implement massive, although it would be great, specially to hide some sword fighters in there. Had a quick look at Anima, but it seems that your people need to follow set out paths and you still need to manually put in collision objects etc. And i couldnt work out how to have a large group of people just be standing around or walking round an area, not following a path, but having collision detecting etc. So what do you guys use to control people in animations for say, a shopping centre, or a stadium or just a busy street/building.
