dande
I was wondering if anybody knows of a script that will allow me to render only whats inside the Camera Field of View similar to how plugins such as Multiscatter and forest pack lite do. I'm sure I came across a script previously but now I can't find it.
dande
One thought is to create a cone object that matches the Camera FOV. Wire the cone to the camera then hide everything in the scene that does not interaect with the cone. Does anybody know of a script that can hide objects that don't intersect with another object? LukeC
try having a look on scriptspot.com - I'm sure there is one that exists. If I get a spare moment I'll look at writing one. What is it you are trying to do? Keep in mind that making everything outside of the FOV non-renderable will also mean they won't be visible to reflections. dande
Hi Luke Thanks for your reply. It's a large out door Civil scene so I'm not to worried about reflections. I have used proxies and split the scene into a number of scenes and I will put them together in post. But I'm still having problems with some parts of the animation. I reckon if I can just render the camera FOV it will solve my problem. I have search scripspot and the web and I can't find anything. I did find a script which is supposed to create a cone from the camera FOV and do all the necessary wiring. But I haven't been able to get it to work.
