Need advice on SATA

[New]

my new pc is :

Motherboard - ASUS A7V600-X

HDD - Maxtor 80G SATA 150

 

1. what should i do to configure the SATA HDD to the OS win98 & XP?

2. where can i get the VIA RAID CONTROLLED DRIVER for the OS?? i have install the drivers from the cd given, but when i restart the pc, it keep on asking driver for it!!! Why??

And i cant find the driver for PCI ISA... & HOST BRIDGE.... kind of these from the motherboard's driver cd given.

Where can i get it?

 

3. the mother have intergrated the S & V, i have properly installed the sound driver, but still got no sound come out from speakers, what's wrong??

i cant find the intergrated driver for V too..

But, i got another ASUS graphic Card, it work well.

 

4. when on the boot screen, the User Guide (ASUS Mb) say press "TAB" to enter VIA® Tech Raid BIOS Utility, and then can create Array, Delete Array.....

do ti by press up/down arrow and press ENTER, but, once i enter this BIOS Utility, my keyboard does function at all!!!

up/down arrow and ENTER got no function, nothing 'highlighted' in the screen. Only "Esc" can work... but it do nothing...

 

5. every time i shut down the computer, it cut the power automatically very fast! But, once i reopen the computer, it need to scan disk, cos it window r not shut down properly...

 

Has anyone know this well??
