so i am new here and first i want to say hello to the community I am working with archicad 14 and 3dmax 2012. i use 3ds to export with materials from archicad to max. my problem is: i have to make a cross section (i know there is a cebas plugin but i can only use max ). *i use the slice modiefier with cap holes, but max is not able to cap the holes *i tried as dwg (there a are a lot of import settings). with the dwg modell i was able to slice and cap holes, but the whole modell had the same material. i read in archicad forum that the most people prefer the 3ds format. is there a trick to convert to a working ("watertight") geometry, so i can cap the holes with 3ds format. how does max handle CAD geometry? thank you and sorry for my english :)
