angelo
Graham, Wow, I wish I had one donated to me! It's a great camera (as you've probably found out already). Go over to dpreview.com and check out the discussion on the 300D. It's crazy as they have easily over a 100 posts a day, but once you sort through it all, there are some very knowledgeable (and talented) people to talk with. I ended up getting Canon's Ultrasonic 28-135mm. It isn't cheap, but for a great "all-day" work almost anywhere lens, it can't really be beat. If you are looking for telephoto only, some of Canon's L series (the white colored ones) are very, very good, but also very expensive. Good luck and have fun with the camera. Eric
I'd suggest browsing DPReview, as well as this site. http://emedia.leeward.hawaii.edu/frary/photo_index.htm I am almost certain that any product that will work with an EOS camera will switch back and forth between the film cameras and the digital cameras. For lenses, I would HIGHLY recommend this lense. Canon EF 28-135 3.5-5.6 IS USM http://emedia.leeward.hawaii.edu/frary/toolbox2.htm Scroll down - it's one of his reviews. The "IS" stands for Image Stabilizer. He says a new one goes for about $400. Not sure how old that price is.
