eidam655
hello everybody, first i'd like to say that i know that i may be posting in the wrong section, but the forum won't allow me to post into the Tips section... to my issue: whether you work on a family house or a masterplan for a city, you always need to pull out the 2D outlines of neighboring buildings into 3D volumes. my question is - is there any way to automate this process? what is your usual workflow and/or what would you suggest in terms of processing the drawing(s) beforehand? thanks in advance for any answer ~Adam
RyderSK
In certain cities, google earth looks decent, esp. when not in foreground. For cases where this does not apply... I outline by hand, I don't think I've heard of any automated process.

id_ivan
Hi, Have you tried city generator like GhostTown (3dsmax)? If you need exact detailed neighborhood, off course there is always nearby mouse and keyboard to help you out. j/k Edited January 17, 2012 by id_ivan
