My graphics card model is EVGA GF GTX 570HD SC 1280MB GDDR5 Processor is Intel Core i7-2700k 3.5Ghz Any links on how to do so? more info on my PC is 16GB RAM of DDR3 1600Mhz and SSD 120GB of disk with Barracuda 500GB as storage disk MSI motherboard! RyderSK Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 You can only use it when using renderer that can be accelerated by GPU. Most of these detect your card automatically. You bought card with quite low amount of VRam so I would advise against GPU rendering in your case. Unless it's very minimal interiors and design production. GPU renderers that work solely on GPU acceleration are the fastest, eg. Octane, Arion, etc. Renderers that can use both at same time, mostly using OpenCL instead of CUDA, are VrayRT, iRay are neither fast, neither good. I had very good time with Octane, used it for long time, stopped because I too have only 1280MB Vram on my 285GTX, it's too low for serious work. Even those 3GB GTX 480 are questionable for exteriors scenes...but are the only good solution today, unless you're millionaire buying Tesla cards.
