Sketchrender
As above. I have a very large amount of Buildings, a city scape to drop on to a terrained surface. I presume there is the inequivalent to the sand box tool of sketchup, in max. I cant find it. Any help would be great. Thank you Phil

Sketchrender
Thank you . Couldn't find it when I looked. I thought it was built in to max now. But thank you. I have another question on multi scatter . Can a tree be placed at a point on a line? So every point plotted has a tree on it ? Phil Phil

Sketchrender
Juraj Thank you for the reply. I have had a look this morning and can not see a away of ding it in Multiscatter, scatter being the word. I do remember somebody had a script an Italian guy who did a massive master plan in the desert an entire city and he had worked it out. Anyway if anybody has an idea of how to do it I would be grateful. I might put up a separate post as I have to have it worked out soon, and placing them by hand will take a day. By the love the image you have in your gallery. HDRI lighting is excellent. Take care phil
RyderSK
Aren't those tutorials from Vyonyx ? They showcased 2 projects where they distributed trees on spaces, by spline, and by points. But they used VUE on both of those, though I am not sure. I am very sure Forest Pack can do it, since it has better distribution methods than Multiscatter. Can't you use spline distribution for this ? Thank you btw, I am glad you like my work :- )
Simon Moir
Try the Clone and Align tool.
Corey Beaulieu
You can also use the graphite modeling tools, object paint. It includes: random scaling, rotation, scatter, normal align (or uncheck for z align), paint spacing, etc. its a great tool.
