Devin Johnston
I'm having a problem that I can't figure out, if you'll look at the attached image you will see the reflection of metal siding in the balcony glass that I circled in red. The problem is definitely being caused by the specular reflection of the metal material because if I turn all reflection off the white goes away. The material it's self is just a standard vraymat with a map in the reflect and bump slot. Does anyone know how I can lessen or get rid of the bright specular reflection without affecting the reflectivity of the metal material?
Corey Beaulieu
Two quick thoughts would be to make sure clamping is checked in the vray settings and to try another map in the reflction channel that doesnt use pure white. Not sure if these are the answer but its worth a quick try.
Stephen Thomas
Unlink the glossiness values for specular and reflection and set the specular glossiness to 1.0, that should do it.
Devin Johnston
Stephen how do you unlink those values in vray?
