Glass and liquid

I haven't had a lot of time to post any images lately. Here is a small scene I was using to

experiment with different types of glass. I was trying to get the look of the white wine just right. All modeling done by me.

Lighting is vray sun and one vray plane light.

I understand what you mean. The top of the table is not in direct sunlight and the shadows are being cast by an overhead light.

I may try another render with the table directly in the light to see how it looks as far as the glass and caustic goes.

You need to. Composition-ally it doesn't make sense to have the floor lit by direct sunlight and have the foregrund subjects in shadow. And if you are experimenting with glass and liquid then it really does lend itself to working with direct light.
