Patrick25
Hello, When I am working, I have many external files in different folder on my hard drive: it easy this way than to move files to the 3ds max folder each time I add a texture/external 3d model. However, when I finish a project, I would like to pack used file in the max folder. I'd like to press a button and everything is placed in the folder with the correct file paths. To make it a bit more future proof. Is that possible? Thanks of any help. Fooch
There is an archive function in max
Corey Beaulieu
Indeed. As Fooch said, there is an archive function. It is untder "Save As" When you choose Archive it will zip your scene and all related files (Maps, Proxies, Etc..) into a single folder. The process can be a bit slow on larger files so It may not seem like its doing anything at first,, but it is.
RyderSK
I actually have a slight problem with this. It lets me choose 3 formats (with the same name!) which all save the same way...folder with max in 2012 version. So while I can save my file separetedly back into 2010 (sometimes necessary) I can't do it with archive. So I have to archive the scene...but then replace the .max file in it. Is this glitch ?
