Astralogic
Hello, can someone help me. I am having a very annoying problem, when I try to select a polygon I get absolutely no highlight and it never selects the polygon that I actually click on! There is something wrong I think. I want to select all the central polygons so that there are no extra unseen polygons in the middle when I apply a symmetry modifier. I have attached my scene for you to check. If it goes offline you can use this link instead: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8834359/Stylish-Chair04.zip Any help appreciated. Thanks. datacrasher
due to the version I cannot open please next time put you're version number in with you're details, If you don't move the pivot point to where you want it then the symmetry modifier will be applied to where your point is so if you move your point around to the edge for example then appily the symmetry modifier you're symmetry will change
Corey Beaulieu
Actually everything you have going here is correct. your stack looks fine, just turn on your symmetry modifier, add an edit poly on top of your shell and you can continue modeling. That said, in this style of modelling you need to select "show cage" in order to see the basic polygons under your turbosmooth and in any other situation, you cannot see the sub objects highlighted with "show end result" checked. Depending on what it is exactly that you are looking for any or all of these could be the answer. I would start with the show end result and go from there. It is the icon on the direct right of the push-pin at the bottom of the modifier stack. I hope this is what you were looking for.
