3ds max 2011: Possible to create sliding window in a wall?

I don't fully understand your question.

 

I'm guessing the tut used the AEC windows. Those are meant to be inserted into a wall. You move them and the wall flows around them automaticly. It's kinda cool.

 

If you are trying to use those and having trouble, the thing is that how the window is specified - where you click in order to tell it what dimension you are drawing now catches a lot of people wrong. You think you know what you are doing and you end up with no glass and 18" jambs or something.

 

So make some windows (I think they _can_ be made out in empty space if you want) and just pay attention to how they define themselves based on where you click. Teach yourself what they think.
