Why is that? Does it affect the materials? How can i change it back?

I installed a plugin and the moment i opened Max and opened the material editor i saw the change and i just want to ask the above questions just to make sure nothings wrong and if there is something wrong how to fix it!

Thank you!

Do this:

- open 3ds max

- open the material editor and the environment window (Rendering Menu - Environment)

- Check to see if you mistakenly set the Ambient Color Slot to white

- Set the ambient color slot to black

- Check to see that the material editor is back to normal

- Party!

- Come here and tell me if that did the trick :)

In addition to that, check if the gamma got changed to a higher value, like say 2.2 from 1 or something of that scale (which you should have manually changed in the first place when started using max :) , and then check putting some material in the editor and render it applied to something in a scene. If the end's good everything else is.
