driken
ok so here is the problem, i have a scene ..the scene has lights, the lights are supposed to light Gradually as i progress with the camera movement. i placed my keys and everything is supposed to render well. according to what i learned about non moving objects animation, i am supposed to pre calculate the irradiance map for the animation which can be every Nth frame which i have made to be every 1 frame. the light cache is calculated for one frame only as it already calculates for the whole timeline. both done and saved on disk... the irradiance map and the light cache both have muliframe incremental and fly through. after that i had them to be loaded from file which is what i already calculated. when i start the rendering the lights dont animate. they just stay as they are from the first frame. however, when i render as single frame mode for testing some frames they look good as if they are animating. so ....what am i doing wrong here ...why aren't the lights animating as they are supposed to ????.... P.S: i tried not pre calculating anything and just rendering with flythrough and multiframe incremental modes on and the same thing happens. i know for sure that these 2 modes might be the cause, but i am worried if i do change them i would get a flickering which is something unacceptable. so ....help? datacrasher
i'm not sure this will work in vray but what i usually do is turn the auto-key on then move the time slider up to about 10 and then use the intensity spinners up and continuing to do this then turn off the auto key off then hit the play key you're lights Should animate if they are not sinked then use the dope sheet or the CV editor to change the keys http://youtu.be/ZcZByNRBp_s Edited March 5, 2012 by datacrasher
driken
thanks for your reply man....well here is what i did ...i tried again to render the animation using irradiance map with multiframe incremental and light cache with fly through modes on, without pre calculating anything ...and what i can see so far that its moving well ...i dont know what was the problem or whatever ...i have been rendering for 2 days now ..if it doesn't turn out well i will sell fruits on the free way instead of architecture. by the way.....i was wondering if anyone knows any plugin that animates lights like the maxwell renderer, or any way to do it. i suppose it can be manually animated but i think that might take forever to adjust how the light reacts when its turns on (the flickering effect). datacrasher
Can you upload an AVI to youtube then post it? we can give more advice, unless we see what the problem is then we can help more.maybe you're putting too much effort into the animating the lighting? don't forget all renderer are different you won;'t get the same effect from one renderer to another
